As a photographer I have always been such a big believer in the whole ‘a picture tells a thousand words’ saying. Yes, I whole heartedly do believe this. But – there is always a but! Sometimes you meet two people, who without even a breath can take their speechless love and turn it into words that make you melt.

Carmen and Dave were what you would call destiny at its finest. First meeting while working on the ultimate honeymoon destination island, Hayman Island. Carmen took 12 months to travel the globe and yet came back to those elated feelings. Dave had instilled within her heart before she had even left. It was all systems go from there, surprise first dates and endless chatter leading to what is now a forever kind of thing.

“David surprised me and took me to the fanciest restaurant on Hayman Island, La Fontaine. I woke up to a post it note on the door of my room, saying to dress up and be ready by 7pm. He arrived at 7pm that night dressed in a suit with a flower. I don’t think we had a pause in conversation all night.”

This giddy love became their constant, and the words they speak of each other are way too beautiful not to share – it’s like classic romantic chick-flick moments but in real life!

And true to all these words, their wedding was filled with all these little things making it oh, so special. Heartfelt moments with family, traditions carried on and new ones were created to include those most cherished who could only be there in spirit; these are the kinds that will never be forgotten and relived with happiness every time they think of their beautiful celebration.
