Factory 51 Brisbane Wedding
Ashleigh and Bagus are high school sweethearts. Their love first blossomed when Bagus would call Ashleigh’s home phone to “help Ashleigh with assignments.” Fast forward a few years and the pair were joined in matrimony at a beautiful August ceremony attended by all their nearest and dearest. The Newly Weds describe their relationship as “honest, exciting and loving”. Their special day certainly reflected these sentiments, with a modern boho feel, which perfectly suited the Factory 51 location.
After speaking with the couple, Ashleigh and Bagus told me that they are each other’s missing piece we never want to lose. The Couple appreciate each other and want the world to know they are committed to each other. “We want to make a family. Grow old, and watch renovation shows together.” What better reasons are there!
The Ceremony was an intimate affair of love and was Lead by close friend, Pedzi Mawande. Also, Supervised by Pastor Jake. During the Ceremony, Ashleigh’s little sister read “He’s Not Perfect by Bob Marley” and the couple chose to walk out together to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles (Bagus’ Dad is a huge Beatles fan!).

“The first look photos were great fun.” Consequently Ashleigh tells me they were one of her top memories of the day. She remembers holding her breath while she waited for Bagus to walk towards her. It was great to capture these once in a lifetime moments and the pair’s amazing, emotional reactions. Likewise, for Bagus, the stand out moment of the day was seeing Ashleigh for the first time and finally getting that first kiss with her as his wife. Ash loved the speeches. She said “it doesn’t matter if they are emotional, funny, scripted or freestyle – I loved them all. Most note worthy, I had a lot of fun with the photos at Coorparoo Station with the Elephant!”
Similarly, The couples’ carefully picked Wedding suppliers created a fantastic, stylish Wedding which encapsulated everything that Ashleigh and Bagus wanted. Bagus wore Hugo Boss and the Bride chose a gown by Grace Loves Lace. Flowers were provided by Always Fabulous Flowers.Hair by Chantelle Maree Hair and Make-Up was by Jayne Perrior from Perrior Make-Up.

Factory 51 took charge of the catering. The Wedding Cake, constructed by a close friend. The couple chose decadent treats from Krispy Kreme donuts and handed over styling to talented friend, Liv Bosci. Following their nuptials, Ashleigh and Bagus headed to Bagus’ hometown Salatiga, Indonesia for a traditional Javanese ceremony with his family who live there. Then, they hopped over to Bali for a few nights of rest and relaxation. This globe-trotting pair are also off for a few weeks skiing in Japan early next year. Finally the couple told me two weddings meant that they needed two honeymoons, and I can’t argue with that!
